  1. Heat oil in a pot; sauté onion and garlic until soft.
  2. Add spices and cook for 1 minute to release aroma.
  3. Add chicken and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce and broth; bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer for 25–30 minutes until chicken is tender; add peas during last 5 minutes if using.
  6. Season with salt and pepper and serve over rice.
