  2. In a greased baking dish combine rice, chicken, broth, milk, onion, garlic, and vegetables; season with salt and pepper.
  3. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 45–50 minutes or until rice is tender.
  4. If using cheese, remove foil, sprinkle cheese over top, and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes until melted.
