  1. Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water; let stand until foamy.
  2. In a large bowl combine flour and salt; add yeast mixture and oil to form a dough.
  3. Knead for 5–7 minutes; place in greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled (about 1 hour).
  4. Punch down dough, shape into a loaf, and place in a greased loaf pan.
  5. Let rise again for 30 minutes; bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30 minutes or until golden.
